The Potomac and Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC) in conjunction with Randolph-Macon College are hosting the sixth annual Summer Institute for high school counselors, independent counselors and college admission professionals.

Using a personalized setting, the PCACAC Summer Institute is uniquely designed to provide professional development, networking opportunities, training and leadership development for professionals who assist students in the transition from high school to college.  The program is a three-day event that seeks to address many of the complexities of the college admissions process.  Both new and experienced professionals will benefit from the exchange of ideas and information.

This year's program will include a keynote address from Robert Lindgren, President of Randolph-Macon College, cracker barrel sessions, a fun social event, a variety of educational sessions and many opportunities to connect and share with fellow admissions and counseling colleagues.

Cost: The $250 registration fee includes the program, lodging, Tuesday night’s social, and meals (Tuesday’s dinner is not included).

Mark your calendars NOW for September 24-26, 2009 and be sure to join us in Baltimore at this year's NACAC National Conference to be held at the Baltimore Convention Center. Registration is now open at www.nacacnet.org for the Conference.

Local Arrangements Committee Co-Chairs Lisa Hill (Goucher College, MD) and Susan Rexford (West Springfield High School, VA) are asking all PCACAC members to volunteer some of their time at this year's national conference.  Over 300 volunteers are needed.  Click on the link on the lower right hand box of this website to volunteer this year.
