NEW THIS YEAR!
PCACEC stands for Potomac and Chesapeake Admission Counselors Equity Collaborative. PCACEC is an interactive pre-conference workshop for the discussion of diversity, equity, and inclusive practices in college admission and counseling. At PCACEC, counselors and college admission officers will come together to engage in conversations that build multicultural literacy and will share best practices for advancing our profession, specifically focusing on issues that affect historically underserved and marginalized communities. Discussions at PCACEC are relevant for all members of the college admission community.
For more information regarding the workshop topics and facilitators, download the PCACEC Workshop Program with this link. Information regarding fees and registration can be downloaded here. Register for the pre-conference workshop early - attendance is limited to 40 participants. A significant discount is available for those that want to attend both the conference and the pre-conference workshop. However, attendance to both events is not required. Again, Again, see the Location, Registration, and Fees for further details.
The PCACEC Pre-Conference Workshop is a great experience for coworkers to attend together. For this reason, a discount will be applied to the cost to attend the workshop when two or more individuals from the same institution register together. This discount does not apply to the conference registration fees. For more information regarding the discount for two or more coworkers, contact the PCACAC Executive Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lodging is separate and is the responsibility of each pre-conference workshop participant. Contact the reservations specialists at the Kingsmill Resort directly at 800-832-5665 to reserve a guestroom.
If you attended PCACAC’s conferences in the past, you were a witness to the amazing things that partnering with PCACAC can do to support those who work with students in the transition between high school and college. Contributions received helped to fund programs like our Marion Flagg Scholarship Program, the Student Support Grant (SSG), and provided opportunities for our colleagues, both new and veteran, to expand their networks and educate one another while continuing to ensure PCACAC’s fiscal health. This feat could have never been accomplished without your personal and institutional investments in the mission of PCACAC. To sponsor either the Marion Flagg or SSG programs again click on the links provided in this paragraph to access more information or go directly to the Sponsorship and Contribution Form.
Thank you to those that have supported PCACAC and it programs and services for college admission professionals in the past, especially those that have supported the annual conference.
