A Message From Our President

Dear PCACAC Community:

Congratulations! We made it through the May 1st College Decision Day! It is time to celebrate that so many wonderful students have decided on a home for next year. As we all breathe a sigh of relief, we know that the work is not done yet. We all still have those students who are still figuring out their next steps. Also, many students made a decision, but we know getting them to campus in August will need a lot of encouragement and follow-through. We wish you luck in guiding students through all these steps, while also juggling AP exams, end-of-year responsibilities, and graduation celebrations!

This season is always rewarding and emotional. On the college side, we are preparing to send students off into the world. On the high school side, we are helping students take their next steps toward college and other opportunities. No matter what our role, this time of year often means saying goodbye and hoping our students leave with the confidence and support they need to thrive.

As we look ahead to the summer, I encourage you to continue spreading the word about Summer Institute! Think about new people in the profession who may benefit from this experience. If you are still hiring or finalizing budgets, remember that spaces can be reserved even if participant names are not yet confirmed. We are happy to work with you.

Wishing you a strong finish to the academic year and the chance to enjoy the longer, warmer days ahead.
