A Message From Our President

Dear PCACAC Community:

As my time as PCACAC President comes to an end (only 13 days remaining, but who's counting?), I find myself reflecting on what has been an incredibly rewarding year of service to this association and its members. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this remarkable organization. Leading PCACAC has been both a privilege and an adventure, filled with opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside so many dedicated professionals. I am deeply grateful for the support, encouragement, and partnership I have received throughout this journey.

When I stepped into this role, I hoped to build upon the strong foundation established by the outstanding leaders who came before me, while helping position our association for continued success in the years ahead. I sincerely hope that the work we have accomplished together this year has strengthened our organization and left it well-prepared for the opportunities ahead.

What continues to inspire me most about PCACAC is the dedication of its members. Whether through committee work, conference planning, or simply supporting colleagues across our region, our association thrives because of the people who generously give their time, expertise, and energy. As we look ahead, I encourage those who may be considering becoming more involved to take that next step. Join a committee, volunteer for a project, attend an event, or simply introduce yourself to someone new. Some of the most meaningful professional relationships and experiences begin with a simple willingness to get involved.

Speaking of involvement, Summer Institute is just around the corner, and I encourage all of you to help spread the word. Summer Institute is a wonderful professional development opportunity for new professionals entering our field. It provides valuable training, mentorship, networking, and a sense of community that can shape careers for years to come. If you know someone who would benefit from the experience, please encourage them to participate.

While my term as president may be ending, my commitment to PCACAC certainly is not. I look forward to continuing to serve the association as Past President. We still have some important projects we are working on, and I’m excited to see them to the end!

As summer begins, I hope each of you finds time to rest. I am excited to see all that PCACAC will accomplish in the year ahead, and I look forward to continuing this work together.

Warmly,

Rachel Cleaver
PCACAC President
